Emirates Shipping Line will introduce a new container service connecting China with Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia in November, according to a report by Container News citing DynaLiners. The service will be marketed as the China Red Sea Connector (CRC).
The carrier plans to deploy four container vessels of approximately 2,500 TEU capacity on the route, maintaining an approximately fortnightly sailing frequency.
According to the published schedule, the port rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, and Nansha in China, calling subsequently at Sokhna in Egypt, Aqaba in Jordan, and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The arrangement will establish direct connectivity between three Chinese export gateways and key Red Sea ports.
