The United Arab Emirates has suspended all flights operated by Iranian airlines to and from the country effective Thursday, September 24, 2026, until further notice, according to an official statement by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) carried by the state news agency WAM.
The GCAA stated that the decision was taken in light of US sanctions targeting Iranian airlines and barring them from using airport facilities globally. The measure immediately grounded scheduled flights between Iranian cities and UAE airports, including direct connections between Tehran and Dubai.
