The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China's Fudan University to strengthen academic and research partnerships with federal higher education institutions in the UAE.

Under the agreement, study places will be allocated at Fudan University—ranked among the world's top 30 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2026—for high-achieving Emirati students seeking to study there. The partnership also aims to advance knowledge exchange and establish joint initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of the UAE's higher education and scientific research ecosystem.

Jin Li, President of Fudan University, noted that the MoU will expand opportunities for faculty and student exchanges and foster joint research to address shared global challenges.
