The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the availability of a dedicated electronic service allowing Golden Visa holders to obtain an emergency return permit if their passport is lost or damaged while outside the country, according to NDTV Profit.
The digital service issues an electronic re-entry permit with an average turnaround time of 30 minutes. Once issued, the permit enables qualifying long-term residency holders to re-enter the UAE within seven days.
To facilitate the process, the Ministry has published a checklist of required documents aimed at preventing travel disruptions for business owners, foreign investors, and specialized talents. The update is intended to maintain the residency status and commercial operational continuity of foreign investors and skilled expatriates based in the UAE.
