The United Arab Emirates took part in the 126th GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee meeting held in Manama, Bahrain, on October 1, 2026. The UAE delegation was led by Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs.

The delegation included officials from the Federal Tax Authority and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. According to the Emirates News Agency, discussions centred on priorities to advance GCC financial and economic integration, expand the GCC Common Market, and reinforce regional regulatory frameworks for business.

Delegates evaluated developments in joint customs operations, cross-border tax policies, and investment protection across member states. Officials affirmed that closer economic and customs cooperation remains key to boosting Gulf economic unity and regional trade resilience.
