The UAE Ministry of Investment has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China Securities to cooperate across asset management, capital markets, and investor connectivity, EnterpriseAM reported, citing an official statement. Under the agreement, the ministry will serve as a federal gateway for the Beijing-headquartered investment bank, providing regulatory guidance as well as introductions to authorities and investor networks as it expands across the UAE.

China Securities stated that the cooperative framework will assist Chinese enterprises expanding into the Middle East while facilitating Middle Eastern capital flows into Chinese assets. The firm opened an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) last month, joining other Chinese financial institutions established in the hub, including Bank of China, ICBC, China Construction Bank, and CICC.

Bilateral economic relations previously received momentum in April during Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed's visit to Beijing, where both nations agreed to increase investments. EnterpriseAM noted that China represents the fourth-largest source of foreign direct investment stock in the UAE, accounting for nearly USD 4 billion in cumulative greenfield capital expenditures between 2021 and 2025.
