UAE, India, and China Lead Entries for Sharjah’s Xposure Awards 2026-27

The Xposure International Photography and Film Awards 2026–2027 received over 22,000 submissions from 108 countries, with China, the UAE, and India leading participation. Judging is now underway ahead of the 11th edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival in Sharjah. Finalists and winners will be announced during the festival and featured in its exhibition programme.

The Xposure International Photography and Film Awards 2026–2027 received more than 22,000 photography and film submissions from 108 countries, Gulf Today reported. The total includes 21,587 photographs and 543 film entries, with judging now underway to select finalists and category winners.

Participation was led globally by China, the UAE, and India. Photography submissions spanned nature, portraiture, urban environments, and works incorporating new technologies, while film entries addressed human, social, and environmental themes across multiple genres.

The competition precedes the 11th edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB). Finalists and winners will be announced during the festival, and selected projects will be displayed within its official exhibition programme.

Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB, stated that the broad participation demonstrates the festival's international appeal and solidifies Xposure as a global platform for visual storytelling. He noted that investment in photography supports creative talent and acknowledges creativity as a core component of cultural expression.
