The UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to coordinate anti-money laundering enforcement efforts.
The agreement establishes formal channels for sharing supervisory data, financial intelligence, and regulatory insight concerning virtual asset service providers (VASPs).
The accord was signed by UAE FIU Chief Ali Faisal Ba'Alawi and VARA CEO Matthew White, targeting illicit transactions and risks associated with financial crime.
This partnership reinforces regulatory compliance and supervision across Dubai's mainland, free zones, and special development jurisdictions.
