The UAE concluded its participation in the China International Industry Fair 2026 in Shanghai on October 20, 2026. Led by Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the delegation discussed industrial technology, smart manufacturing, automation, robotics, and bilateral investment channels. MoIAT confirmed that partnerships with Chinese industrial technology firms aim to accelerate the integration of robotics into UAE factories to raise production efficiency and output quality.
Separately, DEWA International signed four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) during the 28th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2026). The signings were witnessed by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Chairman of DEWA International, and executed by Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence and Vice Chairman of DEWA International.

DEWA International also entered MoUs with France's EDF Middle East to explore regional and global renewable energy ventures, UK-based Capital Dynamics for European clean energy infrastructure investment, and Tata Consultancy Services for IT/OT integration and technical consultancy.
