The UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has confirmed three monthly income tiers required for residents sponsoring visit visas for relatives and friends, according to Arabian Business.
Under the guidelines, residents sponsoring first-degree relatives—defined as parents, spouses, and children—must earn a minimum salary of AED 4,000 ($1,089) per month. For second- and third-degree relatives, which include siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins, the required monthly income threshold rises to AED 8,000 ($2,178).
Residents applying to sponsor a visit visa for a friend face the highest threshold, requiring a monthly income of at least AED 15,000 ($4,084).
In addition to the salary thresholds, applications require proof of kinship, health insurance, and a passport valid for at least six months. Sponsors must also provide refundable financial guarantees of AED 1,000 for single-entry visas or AED 2,000 for multiple-entry visas.
