UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Omar Al Olama cited Kazakhstan's Astana AI Film Festival as an example of how artificial intelligence is transforming content production during his address at the AI Everything global summit in Abu Dhabi. Al Olama stated that AI has sharply lowered barriers to entry in entertainment, enabling single individuals to handle tasks previously requiring large teams and multimillion-dollar budgets. Speaking at the AI Everything global summit in Abu Dhabi, the UAE's Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Omar Al Olama, cited Kazakhstan's inaugural Astana AI Film Festival as evidence of how artificial intelligence is reshaping content production, El.kz reported citing Khaleej Times.

Recalling his visit to the festival in Kazakhstan, Al Olama stated that technology has significantly reduced barriers to entry in the entertainment industry. He stated that an individual can now use artificial intelligence to produce a film or creative project that previously demanded a large production team and a multimillion-dollar budget, predicting the emergence of one-person entertainment studios creating high-quality content.

According to Al Olama, AI tools provide individual creators with productivity levels previously accessible only to major teams, encompassing scriptwriting, image and video generation, storyline variation development, and end-stage production. He added that these tools create direct monetization paths without requiring creators to become major influencers or assemble extensive production crews.

The minister also projected the rise of companies where AI agents execute operational tasks alongside a solo founder, forecasting one-person firms that could grow into businesses valued at 20 million dollars or even 1 billion dollars.

Al Olama noted that the inaugural Astana AI Film Festival attracted over 8,000 submissions from 125 countries, featuring a total prize pool of 2 million dollars. He added that the commercial value of AI-generated creative work will require governments to reassess current approaches to copyright and industry regulation.
