Saudi Tourism Authority Steps Up Efforts to Attract Chinese Visitors

The Saudi Tourism Authority has enhanced its efforts to attract visitors from mainland China and Hong Kong, according to Arab News.

Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to China, Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, affirmed that bilateral relations have achieved progress across the tourism, cultural, and commercial sectors within the framework of their comprehensive strategic partnership. China's Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin welcomed the momentum and confirmed Beijing's commitment to widening cooperation.

The push aligns with Saudi Arabia's broader plan to invest more than $800 billion into its tourism industry to diversify the economy away from hydrocarbons. Chinese and Gulf officials also emphasized expanding direct travel links and trade missions between the regions.
