Saudi Arabia has introduced definitive anti-dumping duties ranging between 15.8 percent and 38.7 percent on imports of aluminum easy-open beverage can caps originating from China.
The protective trade measures officially took effect on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and will remain active for five years. Issued by Saudi Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, the decision targets aluminum closures with diameters from 50 to 63 millimeters.
According to Saudi Gazette, the action aims to protect domestic industrial manufacturing and ensure fair competition in the local market. The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has been instructed to execute the decision and collect the duties on incoming shipments.
