Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, has directed that 12 winners of a youth art competition in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, along with their families, be invited to visit the emirate to experience its natural beauty, heritage, and hospitality, the Emirates News Agency reported.
The students took part in the 'My Ras Al Khaimah – Where Mountains Meet the Sea' art competition, which drew around 200 participants aged 11 to 15. The 12 winning artworks were selected for inclusion in Ras Al Khaimah's official 2027 calendar. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, honoured the students during his official visit to Guangzhou.
The competition was held as part of a cultural exchange programme between Ras Al Khaimah and Guangdong Province, organised on the sidelines of the opening of Ras Al Khaimah's first business consultancy in China.
According to the official report, the students produced their artwork based on what they had read and imagined about the emirate, depicting mountains, the sea, forts, traditional sailing boats, falcons, mangroves, and local heritage scenes.
