UAE Suspends Iranian Airline Operations Following Secondary US Aviation Sanctions
The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority has issued a full suspension of flights operated by Iranian airlines until further notice. The move follows US Treasury sanctions against 27 Iranian carriers and threats of secondary penalties on international ground-handling and fueling operators. The decision severs Tehran's primary commercial aviation link through Dubai as neighboring countries also restrict Iranian airspace access.
