Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan standardise Middle Corridor operations under landmark cross-border agreement
Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have exchanged a formal intergovernmental agreement establishing a unified legal and operational framework for the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor). The pact standardises border and customs procedures, synchronises digital transport logistics, and expands maritime capacity across the Caspian Sea. The harmonised operating model is designed to resolve transit chokepoints and accommodate future accessions by other regional partners.
