Chinese automotive brand OMODA & JAECOO officially debuted the OMODA X on October 20 at OMODA X NIGHT, held as part of the brand's International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The manufacturer positioned the crossover as combining everyday SUV utility with off-road capability and sports car-inspired styling.
The vehicle features a wide-body stance, sculpted body panels, and what the automaker terms mecha-inspired styling. Exterior and chassis specifications include a ground clearance of 200 mm, a design wading depth exceeding 700 mm, a towing capacity of up to 1,800 kg, and a roof-load capacity of 75 kg.
Inside the cabin, the OMODA X is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch central touchscreen, alongside physical switchgear for climate control and driving modes. The interior includes 39 storage compartments, a customisable driving mode designated as X-MODE, and an AI-driven voice interaction system operating without wake words.
In terms of driver assistance and cabin technology, the crossover introduces an infrared thermal-imaging night-vision system designed to detect hazards up to 90 metres away. The vehicle also features an in-car audio system equipped with four independent sound pickup zones.
