Abu Dhabi-listed marine and energy contractor NMDC Group signed a long-term cooperation framework with the China Chamber of Commerce for the Petroleum Industry (CCCPI) on November 5, 2026, during the closing day of ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi. The agreement aims to explore bilateral opportunities across equipment fabrication, supply chain development, and energy infrastructure projects.
According to NMDC Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Yasser Zaghloul, the framework is designed to help localise critical industrial capabilities within the UAE while integrating specialized international engineering expertise across complex projects.
The Chinese partnership formed part of five strategic agreements concluded by NMDC Group during the exhibition. In other deals, NMDC Dredging & Marine formed a tripartite partnership with Teledyne Marine and SITECH Gulf UAE for subsea equipment and marine survey technology, while NMDC Infra partnered with Tekmar to localise subsea asset protection solutions in the UAE, including the manufacturing of concrete mattresses and subsea sleepers.
Additionally, NMDC Energy signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with e& UAE to implement smart energy connectivity and digital transformation across its operations, and entered an agreement with Borouge International to evaluate advanced pipeline coating solutions for regional energy infrastructure projects.
