JD.com arm signs deal to build 150,000-square-metre logistics hub at Abu Dhabi’s Kezad

Jingdong Property, the infrastructure and asset-management arm of JD.com, has signed an agreement with Kezad Group to develop a 150,000-square-metre warehousing complex in Abu Dhabi. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the hub is expected to create approximately 1,000 direct jobs. The project will feature automated warehousing systems and digital operations technology.

GCC Secretary-General Urges Energy, Trade, and Infrastructure Integration at New York Symposium

GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi emphasized the need for deeper regional convergence across energy, trade, and digital transport corridors connecting the Gulf to Asian markets. Speaking at a symposium with the UNDP, he highlighted that member states produce roughly 16.6 million barrels of crude oil daily, representing 22.2 percent of global output. He underscored that long-term stability requires cross-border infrastructure, digital logistics, and institutional connectivity beyond oil exports.

China Securities Establishes Middle East Base at Dubai International Financial Centre

Chinese investment bank China Securities has launched a regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The office aims to link Chinese capital with UAE and Middle Eastern markets across capital markets, investment banking, and asset management. DIFC stated that China's five largest banks now hold over 30 percent of total sector assets in the hub.
