Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority and Skyports Infrastructure have signed a binding Definitive Agreement to build and operate a four-vertiport Advanced Air Mobility network. The first phase will connect Al Marjan Island and Jebel Jais, targeting commercial launch in the third quarter of 2027. Future expansion plans include two additional vertiports and an inter-emirate connection to Dubai.

A flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, following an in-flight incident. Flight tracking data recorded a sudden descent from nearly 34,000 feet to below 17,000 feet in one minute. The airline confirmed all passengers and crew landed safely, while Israeli media reported an altercation in the cockpit.
All Iranian commercial flights to Türkiye are expected to halt in early October due to expanding U.S. sanctions targeting Iranian civil aviation. The expected stoppage follows flight permit revocations by the UAE, Oman, Iraq, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
