Messe Berlin is launching a dedicated business events trade exhibition in China. The China International MICE Exchange (CIMX) is scheduled to take place at the China National Convention Center Phase II in Beijing from 3 to 5 November, catering directly to the Chinese meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions sector.
The organiser anticipates 150 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, 350 hosted buyers, and 5,000 domestic and international trade visitors. The hosted buyer contingent comprises 200 representatives from MICE agencies, 100 corporate event and incentive planners, and 50 association representatives, all conducting pre-arranged business meetings.
International and Chinese tourism boards and convention bureaus exhibiting at the event include Dubai Business Events, the Singapore Tourism Board, the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, and the South African National Convention Bureau. Participating venues and hospitality groups include Shanghai Tower, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Meliá Hotels International, and Sands Resorts Macao. Beijing serves as the host city partner, while EgyptAir is designated as the official airline partner. Nikolaos Swoch, director of CIMX, stated that China's role in the global MICE value chain is evolving as a source of demand, an international event host, and a contributor of expertise and innovation.
