HSBC has announced plans to open a new wealth management centre in Abu Dhabi in December 2026, marking an expansion of its presence across the Gulf region.
According to Mohamed Al Marzooqi, CEO of HSBC UAE, the planned centre is part of the bank's largest regional investment programme in two decades, coming after an opening in Dubai last year.
The lender noted that high-net-worth clients from the Middle East are continuing to increase cross-border financial flows directed toward Asian financial hubs, specifically Hong Kong and Singapore.
Additionally, an HSBC global investor survey conducted across 16 markets, including mainland China, indicated that 97% of institutional investors consider the UAE an attractive destination for infrastructure and general investment.
