UAE Firm Acquires Masood Textile Mills Shares from Two Chinese Companies

The Competition Commission of Pakistan approved the acquisition of shares in Masood Textile Mills Limited by UAE-based Velora Global Ventures-F.Z.C. from two Chinese companies on September 24, 2026. The transaction involves equity transfers from Shanghai Challenge Textile Company Limited and Zhejiang Xinao Industry Company Limited. Regulators concluded in a Phase-I assessment that the deal would not lessen market competition.

MH Markets Highlights UAE Category 1 Licence and Expansion at iFX EXPO Asia

Online brokerage MH Markets has secured a Category 1 licence from the UAE's Capital Market Authority as part of its international expansion strategy. Zeekr has commenced its first large-scale overseas shipment of the 9X flagship hybrid SUV, dispatching vehicles to the United Arab Emirates. The model is priced above RMB 800,000 in the UAE and close to RMB 1 million in Europe. The shipment departed from the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port as part of the brand's global expansion.

UAE Labour Law Guarantees Seven Key Entitlements for Terminated Private Sector Employees

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, private sector employees terminated by their employers in the UAE are legally guaranteed seven distinct entitlements. These protections include notice period compensation, settlement of end-of-service benefits within 14 days, weekly job-search leave, and potential unemployment insurance payouts. Legal counsel noted that delayed dues can be formally contested through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
