ADGM Unveils Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2026 Featuring China Investment Forums

Abu Dhabi Global Market announced details for the fifth edition of Abu Dhabi Finance Week, set to take place from December 7 to 10, 2026. Over 300 financial leaders managing more than US$61 trillion will participate in 75 sessions, including bilateral forums focused on China. Ten new platforms will be launched, spanning real estate, alternative investment funds, new energy finance, and AI integration.

Chinese Institutional Investors Hold $7.8 Billion in UAE Debt

Chinese institutional holdings of Gulf debt reached nearly $14 billion as of mid-2025, according to International Monetary Fund figures. The UAE represents the largest individual share of these investments at $7.8 billion, followed by Qatar at $5.3 billion. Together, the UAE and Qatar make up over 94 percent of recorded Chinese debt exposure in the Gulf region.

Abu Dhabi Launches Inaugural Healthcare and Life Sciences Mission to China

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi is conducting its first health and life sciences mission across Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing from September 21 to 30, 2026. The UAE delegation includes public healthcare authorities, research universities, and investment bodies. Discussions target joint clinical trials, artificial intelligence, precision oncology, and new drug development.
