UAE and Benin Exchange Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in Abu Dhabi
The United Arab Emirates and Benin have exchanged a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in Abu Dhabi. The deal will liberalize roughly 97 percent of bilateral tariff lines and lower regulatory barriers across sectors including logistics, technology, and renewable energy. UAE non-oil exports to Benin are projected to rise by more than $1 billion by 2033 under the agreement.
