Finanshels has launched Hala Tax, an interactive artificial intelligence tax advisor tailored for freelancers, startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises across the UAE. According to the company, the tool was trained on UAE tax laws, Federal Tax Authority updates, expert-verified tax facts, and inquiries from over 7,000 business founders served by Finanshels.
The platform gathers key operational details—including trade licence information, financial year periods, annual turnover, and current VAT and Corporate Tax registration status—through an interactive interface accessible on the web or WhatsApp. Based on this data, the tool produces an individualized compliance assessment detailing applicable rules, impending deadlines, documentation requirements, and potential Small Business Relief considerations.
According to Finanshels, Hala Tax pairs automated workflows and the 'Ask Hala' conversational interface with human support, allowing higher-risk or complex scenarios to be escalated to its internal tax advisory team. Muhammed Shafeekh, Founder and CEO of Finanshels, stated that the platform aims to inform founders what applies to their business, what is due, and what actions are required without forcing them to navigate tax complexities independently.
The company stated that the service is initially concentrated on Corporate Tax and VAT requirements, with future development intended to expand across registrations, amendments, deregistrations, and ongoing compliance tracking.
