Update — October 16, 2026 5:15 PM CST: The European Union Aviation Safety Agency updated its advisory regarding Jordan's Amman Flight Information Region on October 14, 2026. Commercial airlines are no longer advised to avoid the airspace entirely, but must now conduct individual security risk assessments. EASA also extended its conflict zone information bulletin for Jordanian airspace through November 16, 2026.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) updated its flight operations advisory concerning Jordanian airspace on October 14, 2026. The European regulator eased its previous directive that advised commercial carriers to completely avoid Jordan's airspace.

Under the revised guidance, commercial airline operators are now instructed to conduct risk assessments and consider potential security hazards when scheduling flights over Jordan.

Despite the relaxation, the agency stated that its conflict zone information bulletin covering Jordan remains active and has been extended through November 16, 2026. The regulator noted that this decision follows ongoing monitoring of regional military air-defence activity and missile trajectories.
