Emirati AI Specialists Launch Study Visit to Beijing and Shanghai

A delegation of 16 Emirati artificial intelligence specialists will visit Beijing and Shanghai from October 12 to 16, 2026, under the National Experts Programme – Artificial Intelligence Track. The study mission focuses on AI governance, smart nation systems, and commercial applications. The participants will engage directly with prominent Chinese technology enterprises and research organizations.

The National Experts Programme – Artificial Intelligence Track (NEP-AI) has announced an official study visit by 16 Emirati artificial intelligence specialists to Beijing and Shanghai from October 12 to 16, 2026, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Organised under the theme 'AI Governance, Smart Nation Systems and Digital Government,' the mission examines how China translates advanced AI research into entrepreneurship and commercial application. Six NEP alumni and Fellows will accompany the 16 specialists to facilitate bilateral knowledge exchange and assess digital government applications.

The Emirati delegation will engage directly with prominent Chinese technology enterprises and research organisations, including Zhipu.ai, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), ByteDance, AgiBot, and Agentrix.
