Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced it will organize the inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference 2026 (EV World 2026) from 10 to 12 November 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme 'Driving a Smart and Sustainable Mobility Future.' Held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the event aims to accelerate Dubai's shift toward sustainable transportation.
As part of the event preparations, RTA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China EV100, China's electric vehicle industry alliance. The agreement is designed to expand the participation of Chinese automotive manufacturers and research institutions, connecting Chinese technological capabilities with investment and commercial opportunities across the UAE and the wider region.
RTA Director General Mattar Al Tayer met with Dr. Zhang Yongwei, Chairman of China EV100, to discuss expanding bilateral partnerships across the new energy vehicle ecosystem. In addition, the event's organizing committee carried out promotional visits in China, Germany, Belgium, and India to build international industry partnerships.
According to RTA, EV World 2026 is projected to attract over 300 local and international companies, more than 30 business partners, 70 speakers, and over 10,000 visitors. Exhibitors will present developments in electric and hydrogen vehicles, battery management, charging networks, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence applications.
