Dubai has detailed the eligibility requirements for educators applying for the UAE Golden Visa, reporting that more than 835 applications have been submitted to the initiative since its inception, according to Arabian Business.

The Golden Visa program for outstanding teachers and educators in private educational institutions was introduced on October 5, 2024, coinciding with World Teachers' Day. The initiative operates under directives from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. A select group of educators has already received the visa under the scheme.

Eligibility is open to educators working in Dubai's private early childhood centres, private schools, and private higher education institutions. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic credentials or creative contributions to education, alongside a proven track record of enhancing educational quality, positive impact, and peer recognition. Significant contributions to student outcomes, including academic progress and the attainment of accredited qualifications, are also evaluated.

Candidates are selected through a professional assessment process assessing academic qualifications, outstanding achievements, contributions to education and the wider community, and positive feedback from parents and students. The initiative is part of Dubai's Education 33 strategy to attract and retain teaching talent, with further details and applications accessible through the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
