Dubai Edges Down as Abu Dhabi Benchmark Inches Higher at Monday Close

UAE equity markets diverged on Monday, with Dubai slipping fractionally while Abu Dhabi posted modest gains. The DFM General Index eased 0.04% to close at 5,898.86, while the FTSE ADX General Index rose 0.35% to 10,008.39. Both bourses traded within narrow bands as market participants adopted a cautious tone.

UAE equity markets diverged at Monday's close, with Dubai posting a minor decline while Abu Dhabi recorded a modest advance, according to Business Upturn. The contrasting movements kept overall sentiment across UAE markets largely neutral, with neither exchange demonstrating significant directional momentum.

In Dubai, the DFM General Index fell 0.04% to close at 5,898.86. The benchmark traded within an intraday range of 5,892.77 to 5,925.04, reflecting cautious trading and negligible movement across the session.

In Abu Dhabi, the FTSE ADX General Index gained 0.35% to end at 10,008.39, remaining above the 10,000-point psychological threshold. The index moved between an early session low of 9,973.01 and an intraday high of 10,013.59 before paring some gains toward the close.

Business Upturn noted that overall trading volumes and sector-level performance provided limited directional clarity ahead of the remainder of the trading week.
