Chinese container carrier CU Lines has expanded its maritime connectivity to the Gulf region by adding the Port of Duqm in Oman to its China–Gulf Express (CGX) service, according to shipping consultancy DynaLiners.
The carrier introduced the new direct call to replace its previous stop at Sohar. The revised route aims to strengthen direct supply chain links between major Chinese ports and industrial zones in the Gulf, reflecting rising industrial cargo volumes and logistics activity around the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
The CGX service operates on a three-week frequency. Its updated port rotation covers Qingdao, Ningbo, Shenzhen (Shekou), Nansha, Port Klang, Khor Fakkan, Duqm, and returns to Qingdao, offering direct container shipping among China, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman.
