China's outbound direct investment into the United Arab Emirates reached $2.6 billion, more than tripling compared to the previous reporting year, according to figures released by the UAE-China Chamber of Commerce. The growth establishes the UAE as the top recipient of Chinese direct investment across the Middle East, while bilateral non-oil trade surpassed $100 billion.
In the financial services sector, Beijing-based China Securities received regulatory approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority to establish a regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre. Chinese banking institutions currently account for more than 30 percent of total banking and capital markets assets registered in the financial free zone.
Industrial and cross-border cooperation is also expanding across energy and automotive sectors. Major Chinese energy companies including Sinopec, CNPC, CNOOC, CATL, and Envision Energy are scheduled to participate in Abu Dhabi's ADIPEC 2026 exhibition. Separately, Nissan confirmed its China-developed Navara Pro pickup truck will launch in the UAE by late 2026, while the Abu Dhabi Department of Health conducted an official delegation to Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing.
