Chinese brokerages' overseas capital injections topped CNY 50 billion in 2026, with China Securities injecting HK$6 billion into its international unit. The firm concluded a strategic cooperation agreement with the UAE Ministry of Investment to encourage bilateral capital deployment, according to BigGo Finance.

In tandem, CITIC Securities International received licensing from the Dubai Financial Services Authority to establish operations in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The institution also served as underwriter for an offshore renminbi dim sum bond issued in Hong Kong by UAE-based Mashreq Bank, marking the first time a Chinese brokerage has underwritten a dim sum bond for a Middle Eastern domestic financial issuer.

The capital market moves coincide with expanding China-Gulf economic engagements reported by the Oman Observer, including growing direct investment, bilateral trade forums, and institutional financial frameworks across the region.
