ADNOC Onshore has issued formal Letters of Award to Jereh Oil & Gas Engineering, a subsidiary of China's Jereh Group, for engineering, procurement, construction, and long-term operations across three onshore field developments in Abu Dhabi, according to Construction Review. The total headline value of the contracts stands at $2.697 billion, which includes $484 million in optional work orders intended to support extended field life.

The multi-project scope is structured around a phased buildout scheduled over 36 to 48 months. Works focus on expanding unconventional natural gas recovery at the Ruwais Diyab field while upgrading existing crude oil treatment and processing facilities at the Bab and Bu Hasa onshore fields.

According to the report, project execution will incorporate digital twin monitoring, high-pressure gas dehydration trains, automated wellhead SCADA systems, and advanced subsurface analytics. Procurement and fabrication requirements cover specialized process pressure vessels, compressors, reinforced concrete, high-yield structural steel, and high-pressure carbon steel piping.

Construction Review noted that permanent operations across the finished plants are projected to sustain more than 600 long-term technical engineering, maintenance, and facility management jobs. The expanded gas extraction aims to support the UAE's national gas self-sufficiency initiatives and provide feedstock for downstream industrial processing hubs.
