China Securities Secures Licence to Open Regional Office in DIFC

China Securities has received a licence from the DIFC Authority and authorisation from the DFSA to open its regional office in Dubai. The Beijing-headquartered investment bank aims to connect Chinese and Middle Eastern capital markets. Chinese lenders already hold more than 30 percent of total banking and capital markets assets in DIFC.

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) announced on September 28, 2026, that Beijing-headquartered investment bank China Securities has received a licence from the DIFC Authority to establish its regional office in Dubai.

The publicly listed institution has also obtained regulatory authorisation from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). The new regional base will enable China Securities to serve clients, institutional investors, and financial institutions across the Middle East while strengthening linkages between Chinese and UAE capital markets.

China Securities joins several Chinese financial institutions operating in the free zone, including Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Agricultural Bank of China, and China Construction Bank.

According to DIFC, China's five largest banks currently represent more than 30 percent of total banking and capital markets assets within the financial hub.
