Etihad Rail Launches Abu Dhabi-Dubai Passenger Service and Adds Six Weekend Trains

Etihad Rail launched passenger rail services between Abu Dhabi and Dubai on September 30, operating ten regular daily services with a travel time of around 64 minutes. In response to high initial demand, the operator added six weekend services for October 3 and 4, providing over 2,000 additional seats. Ticketing on the service also features single QR code integration with Dubai's transport system.

Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone and RAKBANK have launched a 60-minute business bank account opening service for RAKEZ-licensed companies. The offer includes a zero minimum balance requirement and discounted monthly maintenance fees of AED 49 for the first 12 months. Eligible clients also receive fee waivers on domestic and international transfers through October 31, 2026.

The export halts follow reduced refined product flows from the Persian Gulf caused by refinery outages and shipping constraints. Supply deficits along Asia-Gulf trade routes were further compounded by an extension of Russian diesel export restrictions.
