ADIPEC 2026 opened at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) under the theme 'Performance under pressure: Energy systems in a new era', Gulf Today reported. The global energy event convenes approximately 239,000 energy professionals from 170 countries alongside 2,250 exhibitors.

The opening follows ADNOC's 'Make it with ADNOC' forum held in October 2026, where the state energy firm reaffirmed Dhs200 billion in project awards for 2026–2028. ADNOC also unveiled more than Dhs60 billion in local manufacturing opportunities through 2030 across 200 products and critical spare parts, building on Dhs80 billion of local manufacturing agreements since 2022 and a Dhs90 billion local-purchasing target for 2030.

Under ADNOC's 'Local+' initiative, 'Made in the Emirates' products receive priority in new EPC tenders, with supplier registration accelerated by up to 80% and purchasing cycles reduced by up to 40% across more than 100 qualified UAE manufacturers.

Highlighting the shift from equipment representation to local manufacturing, Abu Dhabi-based Petro Middle East (PME) detailed several partnerships with international OEMs producing locally to ADNOC standards. Key projects include CEPAI Gulf, established with China's CEPAI and licensed as an Industrial Leader for a major valve facility, and collaboration with Chinese partner Jereh, which secured two major EPC contracts with ADNOC Onshore in 2026.

PME's industrial ventures also include OMB Gulf, a valve plant with Italy's OMB nearing ADNOC Local Manufacturer qualification for a December 2026 launch; Pressbolt Middle East for industrial bolting; chemical services via RRCME; and on-demand spare parts production through additive manufacturing partner Immensa.
