Senior Saudi business leadership emphasized accelerating cross-border investment and clean-energy partnerships with China ahead of the 2026 China International Import Expo (CIIE), CGTN reported. Saleh Al Khabti, Executive Vice President of ACWA Power and President of ACWA Power in China, highlighted expanding commercial opportunities for Gulf enterprises in the Chinese market.

According to Al Khabti, China's expanding consumer sector presents commercial potential for Saudi agricultural and food exports, specifically naming dates, dairy products, and camel milk, and encouraged more businesses to pursue these avenues.

In the industrial sector, bilateral collaboration centers on large-scale renewable energy, green hydrogen, and seawater desalination infrastructure. Al Khabti pointed to China's technological innovation across solar, wind, and battery storage systems, emphasizing the critical role played by Chinese manufacturing supply chains, engineering contractors, and financial institutions in executing utility-scale projects aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
