The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development has published updated qualification criteria and salary benchmarks for professionals applying for Abu Dhabi's 10-year Golden Visa. According to the department, eligible applicants must be employed in roles classified under Level 1 (managers and senior business executives) or Level 2 (skilled specialists) of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) occupational framework.

Level 2 professions encompass fields including engineering, sciences, healthcare, information technology, education, law, business, management, sociology, and culture. The 10-year visa framework allows skilled talent to maintain independent residency in the UAE without the need for continuous employer sponsorship.

Candidates must satisfy additional prerequisites, including holding at least a recognized bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and earning a minimum base salary of AED 30,000 per month. Furthermore, professionals working in regulated sectors, such as doctors, pharmacists, and educators, are required to submit a valid professional practice license issued within the UAE alongside their employment documentation.
