The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has launched its inaugural health and life sciences mission to China, running from September 21 to 30, 2026. The visiting UAE delegation is conducting official engagements across Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing to pursue bilateral commercial and scientific partnerships.

The delegation includes representatives from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, PureHealth, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). Delegation members are holding discussions with Chinese government authorities, academic institutions, and biotechnology companies.

Key areas of focus during the meetings include artificial intelligence, medical robotics, precision oncology, and novel drug development. The initiative aims to establish joint clinical trials and accelerate the transfer and adoption of innovative Chinese therapeutics into the UAE healthcare market.
