The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has granted a one-year regulatory extension permitting Tajer Abu Dhabi commercial licence holders to operate without physical office space, according to Gulf News.

The decision applies specifically to entrepreneurs whose existing exemptions from physical premises requirements were due to expire during 2026.

According to authorities, the extension was introduced to reduce initial startup capital requirements and provide businesses with greater operational flexibility during their early stages.

ADDED reported that the total number of new Tajer Abu Dhabi licences increased by 24% in 2025, followed by an additional 8% growth during the first half of 2026.
