Starting November 1, 2026, Egypt will implement updated entry regulations for citizens of Uzbekistan, Daryo reported, citing an announcement from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo based on diplomatic channels. Under the new rules, Uzbek passport holders must secure an entry visa through Egyptian diplomatic missions prior to departure, and tourist travel must be arranged via authorized tour operators.

Under the new guidelines, Uzbekistan citizens under the age of 40 will only be permitted to enter Egypt if accompanied by parents, a spouse, or children. For travelers in this category, the accompanying family group must have at least $5,000 in cash available for the trip.

Independent travelers over the age of 40 will be subject to a separate requirement to carry a minimum of $3,000 in cash. The regulations do not specify the financial thresholds applicable to travelers over the age of 40 who are accompanied by family members.

In addition to advance visas and age-specific restrictions, Uzbek citizens arriving in Egypt must present proof of confirmed hotel bookings, valid mobile phone contact details, and evidence of sufficient financial resources upon arrival.
