Ai Everything Abu Dhabi 2026 brought together more than 400 exhibitors, 180 speakers, and 200 investors managing $100 billion in assets at the two-day summit, Fast Company Middle East reported. Hosted by Abu Dhabi's Department of Government Enablement (DGE), the event highlighted the shift from experimental AI to deployment at scale, aligning with Abu Dhabi's stated ambition to become the world's first AI-native government by 2027. DGE Chairman Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab stated in his opening address that businesses capitalizing on AI require compute, capital, and customers willing to adopt early.
Sovereign AI capabilities and infrastructure control formed a primary pillar of the summit. During the event, UAE-based Open Innovation AI announced a collaboration with NetApp to explore combining its Sovereign AI Fabric GPU management platform with NetApp data infrastructure, supporting enterprise and public sector AI training, inference, and agentic workflows. Simultaneously, an AI-native training programme was announced targeting Abu Dhabi's public sector workforce and the general public.
Physical and sustainable infrastructure demands were also addressed as data processing requirements accelerate. Khazna Data Centres published its first standalone Environmental, Social and Governance report, outlining targets to cover 50% of its mechanical load with carbon-free electricity by 2030 and 100% by 2035, up from 27% in 2025. The company reported that recycled water met 19.8% of its cooling water requirements in 2025, and stated that new facilities across the GCC are designed for power usage effectiveness values of 1.5 or below.
Showcase participants also demonstrated enterprise applications and spin-offs across commercial sectors. The Sharjah Research Technology & Innovation Park's SPARK AI Hub demonstrated AI concierge tools, smart building computer vision, and digital humans, while Khalifa University Enterprises Company introduced commercialization ventures across healthcare, government, industry, and sustainability.
