The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that private-sector establishments will receive automated notifications concerning delayed wages before administrative measures take effect, according to Gulf News. The update falls under the country's latest Wage Protection System (WPS) decision.

According to the ministry, the enforcement framework adopts a gradual mechanism intended to allow companies sufficient time to address payroll discrepancies and settle unpaid wages. Officials emphasized that the move does not create new substantive legal obligations for employers, but standardizes and clarifies existing wage monitoring and compliance procedures.

The framework is aimed at identifying and resolving delayed payments at an early stage, safeguarding employees' rights while supporting business continuity across more than 600,000 enterprises in the UAE.
