Dubai Municipality has officially opened vendor registration for the fifth season of Souk Al Freej, an annual initiative designed to support small business owners, micro-entrepreneurs, and productive families. The municipal authority is providing 50 complimentary stalls to allow local vendors to display and market homegrown products directly to consumers.

The seasonal market will be hosted sequentially across three municipal parks between December 2026 and January 2027. It will first open at Nad Al Sheba Rose Garden from December 11 to 20, 2026, move to Al Barsha Pond Park from December 25, 2026, to January 3, 2027, and finish at Al Warqa Park from January 8 to 17, 2027. Operating hours for the public will be daily from 16:30 to 22:00.

Of the 50 free stalls, 10 spaces are reserved for supporting activities, including food and beverage kiosks. Participating vendors will feature local items spanning homemade food, handicrafts, fashion, and sustainable products. Dubai Municipality noted that the setup allows small businesses to test products, establish direct customer ties, and broaden brand awareness without retail rental overheads.

This season introduces new features including an "Asian Village Experience" showcasing Asian-themed food, cultural activities, and designs. The venue will also host a Gen Z zone, youth workshops, interactive treasure hunts, and recreational facilities. Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahli, Director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department, stated the initiative strengthens community parks as mixed retail and leisure destinations that support Dubai's local business ecosystem.
