Lianlian DigiTech (02598.HK), a global payment and fintech platform, announced the official opening of its Middle East regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The launch represents the next phase of the company's regional strategy following an earlier regulatory milestone in which it obtained a Category 3D Payment Service Provider licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). Operating from DIFC, the company plans to provide cross-border payment, foreign exchange conversion and hedging, global vendor disbursement, and multi-currency treasury management solutions.

The firm's regional expansion builds on an existing commercial relationship with e-commerce platform noon, along with ongoing merchant settlement support across Amazon UAE and Amazon Saudi Arabia to facilitate revenue repatriation and liquidity management for cross-border merchants.

Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, stated that Dubai's position as an international trade and investment gateway provides substantial opportunities for financial services firms, adding that Lianlian DigiTech's expansion will strengthen the financial infrastructure serving businesses between China and the region.

Tim Shen, Co-President of Lianlian DigiTech, said Dubai acts as a natural bridge connecting East-West trade and finance, emphasizing that the company aims to deliver secure and compliant digital financial services for enterprises operating across the Middle East and international markets.
