ROX Delivers First 100 UAE-Manufactured SUVs Produced at KEZAD Facility

Chinese-backed EV and mobility firm ROX has delivered its first batch of 100 luxury SUVs assembled at its manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi. The vehicles carry the official 'Made in the Emirates' mark and were produced at Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD).

Chinese-backed electric vehicle and mobility company ROX has delivered its initial batch of 100 luxury SUVs manufactured in the UAE. The vehicles feature the official 'Made in the Emirates' mark, according to GCC Business Watch.

The SUVs were produced at ROX's AI Manufacturing Centre located in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). The production facility was developed in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).

Built in six months, the Abu Dhabi hub combines an automotive assembly plant, an artificial intelligence laboratory, and a design studio intended to cater to domestic and regional export markets. Each vehicle in the UAE Signature Edition underwent a numbered production process tailored for Middle Eastern operating conditions.

MoIAT Undersecretary Hasan Jasem Al Nowais noted that the initiative supports the expansion of advanced manufacturing and strengthens domestic industrial supply chains.
