The UAE Ministry of Finance announced updated administrative penalties for the country's mandatory electronic invoicing framework on October 30, 2026, Gulf News reported.

Under the revised system, monthly fines for implementation violations have been capped at Dh50,000 over any 12 consecutive months. In addition, authorities abolished a Dh1,000 daily penalty previously charged for failing to report e-invoicing system failures.

The framework also includes safeguards designed to prevent businesses from facing multiple penalties for the same infraction. Companies with annual revenues of Dh50 million or more faced an October 30, 2026 deadline to select an Accredited Service Provider before the mandatory system takes full effect on January 1, 2027.
