Ras Al Khaimah and China's Fujian Province signed a friendship agreement in Fuzhou on October 29, 2026, concluding a six-day delegation visit led by Ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi. The agreement sets up a bilateral framework focused on green supply chains, port logistics, sustainable building materials, and cultural exchange.
The pact followed the signing of 10 memoranda of understanding between RAK entities and Chinese companies. Key agreements included a partnership between RAK's International Relations Office and UBTECH Robotics to deploy humanoid robotics, alongside a smart transit pact with the Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning Center.
Separately, a delegation from the emirate inaugurated RAK International Guangzhou LLC at the Guangzhou International Finance Center in Tianhe, establishing RAK's first physical business platform in China. Alongside the launch, the Tianhe Central Business District Administrative Committee entered into an MoU with the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the report, this agreement aims to create a long-term economic and trade cooperation platform facilitating bilateral commerce between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Middle East through targeted matchmaking, delegation visits, and joint participation in investment forums.
